Mark Bridge joins Blacktown City FC as Director of Youth, Board member AND investor

Today, Blacktown City FC have announced that Mark Bridge has joined the Club and has been appointed as Director of Youth, where he will lead the Club's youth development program, will take a seat on the Board of Directors, and become an investor of the club.

Born and raised in Blacktown, Bridge built a professional career spanning more than 15 years, including spells at Newcastle Jets, Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers, where he remains the Club's all-time record goalscorer and most-capped player. He scored the Wanderers' first-ever goal, was part of the club's 2014 AFC Champions League title win — the first by an Australian side — and scored the winning goal in the 2008 A-League Grand Final for Newcastle Jets. Bridge also represented the Socceroos at senior international level. 

As Director of Youth, Bridge will oversee coaching standards across BCFC's boys' and girls' age groups and strengthen the pathway from junior football into the Club's first-grade squads. The role brings boys' and girls' youth football under one department with one philosophy, reflecting BCFC's continued investment in growing women's football at the Club. Player development is set as the program's core priority.

Bridge's investment in the Club underscores the scale of his long-term commitment to BCFC's future, on and off the pitch.

Bridge's appointment follows the recent formation of BCFC's Football Committee, as the Club continues to strengthen its football department ahead of the upcoming season.
